I know most of this forum seems to be PC based, but if anyone has any advice for me in Forza would be great.

I'm trying to run the C class Pro series, and just cannot win. Because of the class restriction, I find it very restricitive on what I can do with the car, and have a tough time winning. I've cleared the first race, but just cannot make headway for the rest.

My original car was a Lotus Elise, but it just could not keep up speedwise (I geared it perfectly) but it just lagged behind. I tried it with a Mustang, but there's no way I can keep it sticking in the corners to keep up. The most luck I have had was with a Lancia Delta Integrale, it was just a smidgen faster than the Elise, and stuck well too. But still, it's a real struggle to stay ahead! The AI cars tend to have a faster straight line speed, even after adjusting my gear ratios.

So, my question is, for those of you that have passed the C Pro series, what car/setup did you use?

Thanks!

Yep (and some of the moderators - pfunk and Magnum)

But to be honest i don't remember having problem with anything then nordshliefe in the Arcade part.
Which was utterly frustrating.

Ask in the console simulation forum. I think there is alot of forza fans there!

Hello there...thx to Doug for pointing me here...

Well not to brag but I played the arcade mode all the way through with default cars, and no tuning or set up and got gold in all of them, (some after multiple tries), all except the Nordshliefe track, got silver there, best I could do...

and did about 75% of the campaign, without ever tuning the car, but buying up grades... before i got tired of it...

Point being, it can be done without tuning, matter of fact if you don't know what your doing in tune up mode, then the strategy guide recommends not messing with it... to learn slow...

Now to answer your post the best I can, you have to look at the track, alot of turns and few strait aways then you have to go through your class of cars and pick the best acceleration and handling car... if alot of strait aways, then top speed and acceleration.

and practice practice practice... most know, even us pathetic console racers, (a joke), that knowing the track inside and out is key number 1, then knowing the car your racing on that track.

Now i know this ain't much help, so if you post in the console forums, you'll get better, more hardcore answers... matter of fact, one of our SimHQ members "Skate Zilla" is not only a mod over at the official FM2 site, but seems to know everything about FM2, and is damn good...too good for me to race against.

and one more thing... We will be having a SimHQ Summer Series via FM2 and XBL, matter of fact...I was getting ready to compile and post the announcement when I was directed to this thread... so keep an eye on the console forum for more info.

Good Luck!

Hi Mag,

Thanks for the advice, I think practice is the answer. I find I do get better the 10th time I do the race :P
