This should be epic

It certainly will be epic if they include the ability to add AI for multiplayer. But knowing their earlier adamant views in GTR2, I'm not too optimistic.

My LAN group switched back to rFactor on account of a lack of AI to fill up a full grid. I think Simbin underestimates the importance and fun of having a pack of AI in a race which can contribute so much in terms of traffic and overtaking.

We frequently run our races without qualifying so all the human drivers end up at the back of the grid and race starts are often a bundle of nerves and laughs as you see LAN mates jockeying through traffic in a bid to chase each other down.

You can add AI in MP in Race07 can't you? Then you can in this as well :-)

Is this a game more similar to race than GTR2 ?

I tried Race07....didn't like it. I love GTR2 though. I really hope it has GTR2 pedigree and if I can add AI to multiplayer, then I'll be one happy camper.

If I am 'reading between the lines' properly, it sounds like there will be both a stand-alone title and an expansion pack version that tacks onto Race '07. That would seem to imply that it's the same Race '07 code, with a few tweaks and a new car/track pack. Sort of like the many expansion packs for the IL-2 series, or the "Pacific Fighters" game which could be installed either as expansion pack or stand-alone title. So, based on his above comments, Harry may not like GTR Evo that much.

It would seem that the graphic for the game announcement shows a Corvette C6R, so that would indicate later seasons of the GTR series are covered. Included would be a 'fantasy' series of concept cars turned into WTCC race machines. Interesting concept.

I hope this will means they add night racing and pitstop into it. Its the only thing i currently miss in race 07 (and also the only reason why i still play GTR2).

Anybody knows when they will starting to use their own "Lizard" engine ... or what its called?
