Na! i'm going back to 1 series a week, the F1's and the PCC's. My mates had left the pub by the time i got there yesterday, i had to talk to the barman about his caravan it was more boring than the oval racing.

I hope to make it, but it will depend on how I can handle Bathurst. I know I never got a good handle on it with the PCC's.

I've never raced it, took my first run ever last night and can safely say I wish there was a GPS mod for rFactor. The only track I can think of to rival it in human memory management would be the Nurburgring. How do you remember all those turns without a month of constant practice, or an onboard navigator? Don't look at me like that! I'm 52 years old, and what mental lockers haven't been crammed full of Cisco / broadband esoteric command structure are chock-a-block with the trivia of 24 years of USAF life and 50 years of living. Heh. I broke past half of my life being in the military, and forgot to mark the occasion.

I have guard drill this coming weekend. Tell'em you're sick. I'd love to call in sick because I love racing at Bathurst. Unfortunately we're having a weekend ORE (operational readiness exercise)...like we haven't been deployed to Iraq in the past few months and probably forgot how to duck. Gotta have a damned good excuse to get out of it...and I don't think they'd buy off on "I'd really like to drive a computer simulation".

Come on, Bathurst is nothing like the Ring in number of corners! I can turn 2 minute laps (well, almost) at Batty, nothing CLOSE at the Ring. My problem is the chicane before the corkscrew. The stupid tail is always breaking loose when I turn left in the middle of it. The Jedi Master

Clearly, the solution is to not turn left.

Sweet...4 ODBs at Bathurst (Kurtz, Spectre, Fates, and me)! We need to work on team strategies, and shake and bake!

Fates, check out this thread to choose which car you want. http://www.simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2465414#Post2465414Probably have to be a stock skin now since we're well into the series. Also make sure to choose an "LM" car...they're faster.

Because of the length of the Bathurst track, today's sprint race will be 5 laps.

Good thing this isn't Nascar where theres a team limit. Torch is patching now and since I havn't yet turned a lap at Bathurst, I may bow out and run practice laps with Rich to get him "up to speed" hehe.

I don't want to talk about it. Let's just say that there was a conflict in timing, and I lost.

Pretty good fun even if only 5 drivers showed up. Very challenging track and it showed with Vikz and LC wrecking out. Poor Vikz, I'd never seen somebody stuck upside down. Normally the game resets your car on it's wheels, but Vikz was on his roof for a couple laps. I ended up righting him with a high speed bump from my car. I would have done it earlier but I figured the game would have righted him. Glad you didn't exit the car Vikz...lol. I kept my car farily clean for the race, other than the slight damage from helping Vikz. My big spin came on the last lap at the last corner...so I crossed the finish line in reverse.

I had to pit 3 or 4 times to fix my front nose. Very challenging track. too bad so many missed out. The sand there is like quick sand. I got caught in some at the top of the hill it sucked me into the wall.

Great track, I loved it.
Too bad LC couldnt finish, he was catching me a second per lap. Would have been a good scrap if he'd got on my gearbox.
