I have tried searching the archives, and google, and avon lady.

I have GOTY installed on 2 machines, one running XP Professional (laptop), and one on XP Home (desktop). The laptop version runs great, no problems, the desktop though, the mouse has a wierd slow "delay". I've tried the sensitivity in game and in windows, nogo. Any ideas, links, anything?

i would guess that it is related to your resolution/refresh rate being set too high. that also is what i found at the BI community wiki:
