Hello Guys,

I have just uploaded a cumulative update to version 5, on Mission4Today and CheckSix. It includes numerous new skins, and in particular, the skins made by Zargos last week, new skins by Claymore and Phazmid.

This update also adds 6 new dynamic campaigns, bringing the total to 11 campaigns.

TO INSTALL: SIMPLY UNZIP THE CONTENTS OF THE .ZIP FILE INTO YOUR GAME'S MAIN DIRECTORY, THAT'S IT!

Cheers,

Vincent

Hello falco,

I suppose the skins you refer to are the ones I mention about Tunisia campaigns?

In that case they are included in EnjoyR's skin patch B, "785_EnjoyrPatchBskins_v1.0.zip" (have a look at EnjoyR's patches download page at M4T). My Tunisia campaigns utilize a Blenheim skin, a P-40E RAF skin, and a US P-40M skin from that skin patch B.

I recommend you install all 5 skin patches made by EnjoyR, so that you can have all skins required by the various dynamic campaigns available, including mine.

Also, thank you for the encouraging nice words. I am on my way to version 6, with several significant improvements particularly with regards to the display of generic skins for AI wingmen, and a new career for a bomber pilot from the Bretagne bomber group.

Cheers,

Vince

Hello Guys,

I have uploaded an update to version 6, and another one to version 7, on Mission4Today and CombatAceForum. These two updates are to be installed one after the other (update 6, then 7). They include numerous new skins, especially by Claymore and Phazmid, and a fake of a B-26 Marauder by Beebop.

This update also adds 1 new dynamic campaign for a bomber pilot, bringing the total to 12 campaigns, for bombers, fighters, fighter-bombers, reconnaissance aircraft.

TO INSTALL: SIMPLY UNZIP THE CONTENTS OF EACH .ZIP FILE INTO YOUR GAME'S MAIN DIRECTORY, THAT'S IT!

Cheers,

Vincent

Hello everyone,

I have just uploaded version 7b of French Wings 1943-1945 on Mission4Today and CombatAce Forum. This is essentially version 7a, plus a few corrections & improvements. I encourage you to donwnload and install it, on top of version 6, or version 7/7a, or on top of EnjoyR's patches version 3.1.

I also posted 3 skin packs for aircraft flown by the French and/or with French colors, on M4T. In total, about 500 MB of skins! I compiled these from the skins I collected recently.

Cheers,

Vincent

Hello everybody,

It is my pleasure to wish you a Happy New Year 2008 from Japan!

And for a New Year gift, here is mine: version 8 of my campaigns.

Significant improvements:

• Activated functionality to customize your campaigns: you can now set the difficulty level by adding the following lines to the [DGen] section of your conf.ini:

CampaignMissions=Easy (or Normal or Hard)
CampaignAI=Easy (or Normal or Hard)

The first parameter reduces or increases the number of friendly aircraft vs opponents;
the second one reduces or increases the skill level of friendly aircraft vs enemy ones.

That way you may avoid to face systematically the outcome displayed above…

• Additional flyable aircraft: Spitfire Mk Vc with 4x20 mm guns, Spitfire Mk VIII, Douglas A-20J Boston IV, Martin B-26 Marauder (the last 2 being A-20G hacks, thanks to Madtoc and UF_Josse).

• New skins: A-20C, A-20G, B-17F, B-24, Spitfire Mk Vc, Spitfire Mk VIII, Spitfire Mk IX, Bf-109Gs, FW-190-A, Me-210, Hs-129, Fi-156, Ju-87B, FW-189, P-40s. Thanks a lot to Beebop, Buglord, Carts, Claymore, Crazy277, Dusty61, Falkster, Imme, Jutocsa, Kristorf, Madtoc, Monguse, Sparty, Tchaika, UF_Josse, UF_Zargos, Vpmedia!
• Reworked thoroughly mission scripts, adding more mission types and variety.
• Reworked order of battle for North African campaigns: added more units and AI aircraft, based on historical data: A-20C, B-17F, B-24, Bf-109G6, Hs-129, Me-210, FW-190-A Jabo, Macchi MC-200, Fiat G-50, Me-323. More interesting encounters… I really recommend you to try these desert campaigns.
• New French roundels with yellow outer ring for use with IL-2 MAT Manager, thanks to Quetzalcoatl.
• 2 new dynamic campaigns on Spitfires (bringing the total to 14 dynamic campaigns; previous Spitfire campaign split into 3 separate campaigns):
* RAF fighter squadron 326 “Nice”
* RAF fighter squadron 327 “Corse”
* RAF fighter squadron 328 “Provence”

INSTALLATION : ON VERSION 7b; SIMPLY UNZIP INTO YOUR GAME’S MAIN FOLDER; ALLOW OVERWRITING OF EXISTING FILES. You do need to install version 7b prior to installing this patch. You will keep all the campaigns you already started.

COMPATIBILITY : 4.07m/4.08m/4.09m.

Again best wishes and fly safely,

Vincent

Thanks a lot EnjoyR. It is incredible how the world of DGen campaigns has evolved in 2007, with all the choice and improvements we have now, thanks to your patches. The past year has really been an incredibly busy year for us in that respect, hasn't it?

Best wishes to you and your family in 2007!

By the way, did you know that Czech pilots served in 1940 in the GC II/5 Lafayette fighter group, flying Curtiss H-75s? There names were Yashke, Chabera, Janeba, Hanzlicek, Svetlik, Klan. They fought together with Pierre Villacèque, Jean Gisclon and other French mates. Unfortunately after the defeat of France in June 1940, they had to leave.

I wish that the Slovakia map be supported by DGen.exe in 2008, and that we can build nice campaigns there, which are going to enrich your patches.

Cheers,

Vincent

Nice work all round and going slightly off-topic here, a little clip of the French in action in Afghanistan(some cracking flypasts of the Charles De Gaullle aircraft carrier):

Hi Ojcar, I'm sort of out of the campaign building loop at the moment since I'm in the middle of adopting a couple of children, so I'm a bit busy in real life. I sincerely hope though that others can continue with the idea because all I've ever wanted from FB is a proper RAF career to match the LW, VVS and other nations. Fingers crossed.

Hi,Vince.

Last year be truly a very successful in that respect..... also thanks to your help and gigantic work for DGen campaigns and Patches.

For you and your family also happy year 2008.

By the way,I have got much information on Czech pilots in France in 1939-1945. ;\)
Very good information source are for me these books:

Jiri Railich - Na nebi sladké Francie (Válečný deník československých letců ve službách francouzského letectva 1939-1945)
,,Jiri Rajlich - Sur ciel sucré La France (martial journal tchèque aviateures dans services de France aviation 1939- 1945)

Slovak map is pageantry! .... possibly Starschoy will wake from winter dormancy \:D

Cheers,Enjoyr

Hi everybody,

I am sorry but I just realized there was a mistake in the file I uploaded on M4T and CombatAce: if you had followed the instructions strictly, the skins may not have been installed properly. I have corrected this and re-uploaded version 8.

Please download again version 8 and install it according to the instructions in the Read-Me, to make sure everything is in order.

Also if you find a Skins folder in your game's main directory with the skins of version 8 inside, simply delete it.

@Ojcar: I did not forget the RAF career project, and have it reserved for 2008. I hope to be able to start working on this soon, and will let you know for any help and/or advice.

@EnjoyR: thanks for the reply and the translation of the title of your book.

Have many nice flights in 2008 and relax!

Vincent

Thanks a lot M8, a very nice video.

By the way, I forgot to recommend you to enable external views while playing my campaigns: this way you will be able to see many beautiful and different skins. Quite often you will see different skins for the same aircraft type from one mission to the next, and also even within the same mission, for your enjoyment.

Cheers,

Vincent

Hello to offliners!

I have just uploaded on Mission4Today a patch for users of game versions 4.04m and 4.05m. This patch enables players who do not have 1946 to play all my 14 dynamic campaigns French Wings 1943 - 1945. The difference is simply the absence of the A-20C.

Happy Easter!

Hello guys,

I just uploaded a major upgrade to my campaigns, available here on M4T:

http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=3424

It is also available at Combat Ace.

68 years after the June 1940 truce which sealed France's defeat against Germany, they are back!

Douglas DB-7, too few, too late:

In Syria and Lebanon, another oil war takes place - Yes, a war about Iraqi oil, in 1941...-, and you must defend French territories:

In Lybia with the Free French:

In Algeria and Morocco:

Some fratricides combats would - unfortunately - make victims among the allies:

Despite their American origin, the GC II/5 Lafayette did fight fiercely against the Wildcats of USS Ranger on November 8th, 1942:

(Note: some screenshots posted here show AI aircraft).

Watch your six:

The enemy is sometimes very solid and doesn't show any anxiety even after taking a lot of rounds from our guns:

Let us rejoin them in these unique air battles!

More than 2,000 missions, up to 120 campaigns assembled in 15 careers, a lot of new content, and an exclusive plane set, never seen before in IL-2: you will fly first together with the RAF, and later you may have to fight against the RAF... Just an example of the few oddities the French are capable of.

My purpose is to offer you a unique flying experience, Like No Other Pilot...

Cheers,

Vincent
