BTW, here are some hints.

You can use empty theme name for the default theme.
You can repeat some name more then once - it's good for probability turning.

For example,
themes=,one,,one,two,

default theme is mentioned three times
theme one - two times
and theme two - once.

Thanks FireBird. That's a great flexible way to do it. It looks like you could have a complete slideshow to select from if you wanted. Right?

Sounds a bit complex having to specify manually in eech.ini which themes exist. Would be much easier if EECH just noticed on startup which backgrounds exist (in certain directories), and choose randomly between those. Makes it much easier to install new ones as well.

Appears to me now that you have to first create a directory with the correct name (it has to be a number written as a word in english?), then add that name in eech. Would be much easier if all you had to do was copy a directory with images to a backgrounds-directory in EECH and it would detect this on startup.

It is _not_ required to use numbers as names of the directories - directories' names are unconstrained.
But I agree with you that automatic way is a much more simple one.
I suppose I'll change the themes to be the following way:
If "themes" is a numeric, it's treated as on/off and performed an automatic search for directories with themes.
Otherwise (if "themes" is a string) it's treated as a list of specified directories (as described above).

It will allow both newbies and experts to use this feature.

Here it is: http://rapidshare.com/files/78593707/COHOKUM.RAR.html

Meanings:

themes=
themes=0
It means to use the default theme only.

themes=1
EE will search for subdirectories in Your_Enemy_Engaged_Directory\COHOKUM\GRAPHICS\UI\COHOKUM directory (except for ICONS, KEY and MAP) and will select any of them.

themes=2
Default theme may be chosen as well as previous ones.

themes=list,described,above
Earlier mentioned behaviour.

Sorry, I've missed your post.

What do you mean by slideshow? Functionality (in general) was not touched by my changes, so, there are no graphic effects like explosions or animation. The only thing I've done is ability to use themes (like skins) and select them randomly at startup.

For example, you have a set of pictures called Soviet_Army, another one called Apaches_and_Cobras and, for example, Red_Roses_with_White_Leaves ;\) And usage of the feature allows you to see these pictures (if they are named correctly) as background pictures in EE. The theme is selected once at startup and isn't changed while in EE. To change the theme you need to restart EE.

For any picture, which is absent in the theme, the default one is used.

No videos, no slideshows. Yet ;\)

Great. I was afraid I was forced to code something ;\)

What's your impression? Is this feature worthy?
If yes, could you please share several themes? I'm not good in graphics at all.
