Hello everybody,
With the big help of various communities around the world that loved the mod and done such a fine and constructive criticism, we where able to replicate and fix all the major bugs of the first version.

Please also accept our little "gift" for your help and understanding. New elite car, improved sounds, custom championships, no speed limits on pits and new tyre management on the garage screen.
There are also some changes in the tyres and is VERY important to read again the manual (included in the patch) in the tyres section. A small description follows afterwards

TYRES
I have made a personal error in the interpretation of the historical data. Fortunately David Wright as always helped me understand and correct the errors. Changes are as follows:

- before and up to 1962 tyres R5
D9 compound, all around dry and wet. ok grip, excellent durability
D12 compound, softer, more grip on wet and dry, more overheat, less durability

- 1963 R6 L
D9 compound D9 compound, all around dry and wet. ok grip, excellent durability
D12 compound, softer, more grip on wet and dry, more overheat, less durability

- 1964 R6 M
D9 compound D9 compound, all around dry and wet. ok grip, excellent durability, acquaplanning danger
D12 compound GREEN SPOT, softer, more grip on wet and dry, more overheat, less durability. nervous under wet conditions

from 1965 and beyond tyres are as before.

IMPORTANT information for the garage screen
- On version 1.0 the D12, D12 Green spot and RED spot tyres where not visible and all simulated by the Intermediate, hard and soft wet tyres (identical)
- On Version 1.01 the D12, D12 Green spot and Red spot tyres are finally correctly shown. They still exist the 3 rain tyres (intermediate, soft, hard) but they are identical to the d12, d12green and red spot respectively and you can simply ignore them. (they are there for the AI hardcoded needs)

If you have doubts or questions, feel free to ask on the forums. we will be more than happy to explain.

IMPORTANT MINI CTD FIX
we're terribly sorry for the mini ctd bug. We have posted on other forums a fast fix for them. Unrar the file in your root GTR2 directory and overwrite files as needed.
Unfortunately we are unable to post files in this forum, so please seek the fix on the other two main simracing forums.

Thank you.

I have decided that if the NOPI tuner crowd wants to learn what the true meaning of the word "drift" is, they need to experience this mod. \:D

NOPI = Number One Parts, Incorporated. NOPI is the sponsor for the "NOPI motorsports" drifting competitions, where the goal is not to get your car around the track fast, it's to get your car around the track sideways (i.e. not the fastest way). If you're stereotyping, the NOPI crowd comprises young car owners who care about flashy cars and hot girls, not apex speeds and racing lines.

Anyone else get a windows error when trying to run the IROC season in this mod? I installed the hotfix but it still happens.

You're probably missing the track requested for the championship
check the list of the tracks from the championship information screen. (I think.)

The P&G mod is very very good. Awesome in fact.

It is best motor-sport sim I have ever driven, and I have driven most of'em.

My all-time faves are GPL and GTL - I like the seat-of-your-pants racing in old cars - with no
downforce/modern tyres gluing the car to the road.

Driving the Falcon around Goodwood is such a buzz, words don't to it justice. The feeling of road-contact, the body-roll & weight-shift, the beautiful controllable (and believable) power-on over-steer on corner exit. I can turn into a slide and ease on the revs, feeling the back-end fighting for traction, but not actually losing it. And this is an ISI-based sim!

I love the P&G mod. Well done guys! Can't wait for Pts 2 & 3, but I will be happily driving my Falcon for the mean-time. Cheers!
