I just wanted to let everyone know that there might not be an admin on the server tonight. Magnum is going to be out of town until sometime tonight, and I'll be at a family event.

So, you will be on your own until either myself or Magnum return tonight.

I can't make it tonight, company, then I'm off on 2 weeks vacation (might pop in here and there though).

LOL! I'd love to hear it sometime. Magnum kinda has that Southern cop with the shiny sunglasses voice. :-)

Since when were Floridians considered southerners? ;\)

Most Floridians living North of Orlando are Southerners in the traditional sense. Heck, northern Florida (Jacksonville, Pensacola, Tallahassee, etc) is basically a southern extension of Georgia. :-)

Having been pulled over in Jacksonville, I do have to agree that it is Southern Georgia. \:\)

So were gonna pick on Florida today?? Having spent most the first 50 years of my life there I'm qualified.

But I ain't even gonna go there.

I guess it's tourist Monday.

Good games tonight! It's just too bad that after restarting the HALO drop mission, I ended up in the drink (I made a perfect landing on the first try!)! Otherwise, it went pretty well.

I wasn't able to get a screenshot of your head, but I have one of the 3 of us (Wepps) on the other side of the mountain, waiting for the mission restart:

I was in Montreal once and it was 104F. It's never been that hot in FL. Plus our cars and houses are designed for AC use to keep them cooler.
Nothing worse than 90F+ weather up north where everything is geared for winters.

Last night was a bust for me. Only two missions, the first one I joined too late to do anything but get to the mission area (at which point it ended) and the 2nd I spent 80% of the time sitting and doing nothing, only to die the instant I finally saw combat. \:\(

JoJo, sorry man, I got a snapshot of your body stuck in the mountain but forgot to save it.

The last Patrol mission was definately sucky for Bravo team. Not because we were not doing much... I don't mind being recon every once in awhile. The thing about it was after the first town was basically cleared, I was hoping to go head first into the next town to take the brunt (like we were B-string going in for the later half). We got ordered a position in some trees with no view and we climbed to get a better view and I saw an officer... knowing there has to be a whole squad behind him and keeping to the idea of using the in-game commands, I was giving Nixer the attack command hoping he would use his GL and do some damage: "3 ATTACK That Man"... nothing... "3 ATTACK That man"... nothing.. move closer... "3,4,5 ATTACK That Man!!!!" (anybody really! somebody shoot the guy!).... at which point the officer must have seen me because I hear ONE crack and see a tracer fly through the trees and hit me square betweeen the eyes. \:D

The in-game command idea is good, but I think that is proof that we still need good comms on TS.

The Black Sword mission was the most outrageous though... seemed we lost all command structure but still managed to pull a win through cooperation. I finally got the hang of the computer. I will post how to operate it in the other thread.

You can still give verbal commands for attacking. \:\) I think the in-game command idea is for things like formations and such. Shooting stuff is very important info to communicate outloud.

You just want to be as brief as possible. Like "Bravo, open fire." Or "Bravo 3, Bravo 1.. open fire."

exactly... there are exceptions to the rule as RB pointed out.

BUT you got to say who the hell you are when you open up...
