I find it hard to believe there wasn't SOMETHING you could have blown up with that mav on the way home....disappointing...not wasting the taxpayers money ya know...lol

Yeah, you carry them on too many flights and they expire anyway, so might as well take out something SOMEWHERE. smile

Hey, I noticed! (after you told me) Good landing, but I'm still upset you didn't use that last mav up!

Recently I've really been getting into this game again and it's funny, every time I get back into it I delve deeper and deeper and love it that much more. At first I just had to build a profile for my joystick, then I had to learn how to fly the A-10 just to blow stuff up, now I'm flying via waypoints and killing without labels (sometimes). It's a real blast to fly this beautiful game!

Speaking of beautiful, may I ask what your settings/graphics card is? Those are some really beautiful shots.

I'm using water on high, view distance is a custom setting and I have the LOD distances doubled. I've also modded my SunlightColor.txt file so that morning and evening light is the correct atmospheric color.

Of course, landing an A-10 is like picking your nose compared to landing those Rooks! eek

wink

Actually, I have successfully accomplished what can only be described as seriously god-awful landings with the planes in LOMAC as it's very forgiving with them. The AFM planes OTOH are probably the least forgiving of all the planes I've tried landing! F4:AF is a breeze by comparison.

I messed around w/the Su25T for a while and found that if you fly your gauges you won't break anything. biggrin You have to line up your approach farther out and follow the "ball" for twice as long as you do the non AFM planes.

Once you get the hang of the 25T you can do it like any of the SFM planes and just eyeball it in. The only crucial part is the flare, and you'll use more runway than a SFM plane to "grease" it in...
