theres been a serious lack of formula 1 games over the past few years.DIRT is really good and the only gripe i had was like with most other god game was that it was quite short in the career mode.

if i recall the last decent F1 game i played was on the Nintendo 64.

I know NASCAR 08 is coming but someone needs to pick up the F1 license.

Yeah I bought 'CART Precision Racing' and it was a good sim but unfortunately it came out when Indycar 2 was around and Papyrus had strong brand loyalty.

Yes, Revvin. Remember the "Papy Nazis" pretty much flamed everything that was not made by Papyrus on RAS.

Yes there were some fans who would flame anything not by Papyrus on the newsgroups \:\) Maybe if Microsoft don't win or don't even bid for the F1 license maybe they could do an Indycar or A1GP sim?

is A1 the racing that all cars are the same and have exactly the same specs under the hood?

It could already be in the works who knows, a while ago an rFactor mod team wanted to do a free mod based on A1GP but they were refused permission, now either the A1GP bosses wanted to keep hold of the game rights incase a big spender came their way or they had already sold the rights.

Currently that could also describe, Champ Car, IRL, NASCAR's Car of Tomorrow, etc. There are lots of spec series now but I do like the car they chose for A1. No driver airs, lot's of power and slippery tires. The races are fun to watch.

I got DiRT btw, very happy with it. I should've held off on Forza and just spent my money on this. They only wanted to give me $30 trade on Forza so I kept it. I need to put my drink somewhere

I quite fancy getting DIRT but i'm not sure if i'll like the handling of the cars. If the handling in driving games is to arcadey i sometimes find it a bit irritating.
What you guys think about it?
