I just saw this on Frugalsworld WeatherAF Thread I guess Tom should be around with the announcement and details any minute, but in the meantime I thought I'll give you the heads up. Now, try that landing training TE in a snow storm and 20 knots cross winds!!

First HELOOO to all here.
I am new to this and wanted to try Weather Editor by Tom. I have installed it as said in Readme "anywhere" which is D:\F4AF _Weather. My F4AF is also installed in D:
AAA. My 1st window has this: D:\Program Files\Lead Pursuit\Battlefield Operations\Campaign\Balkans\27 Missile Threat.trn I want to change the weather to my training mission.
BBB. Then I find this message below: Theathre specific data repository not found.. .(looking for D:\F4AF_Weather\weatherdata\Korea)
CCC. I added in my F4_Weather directory subfolders weatherdata and there 2 subfolders Korea and Balkans
DDD. Now I have them on my 2nd window, but 3rd one still displays "choose the weather".
EEE. Last one says: "The weather from D:\Program Files\Lead Pursuit\Battlefield Operations\Campaign\Balkans\27 Missile Threat.trn"
Nothing is hapening in window "Choose the weather". Or should it? Please help. Thanks
This may sound lame: Re-install and don't re-name the folder. Open \weatheraf-b1 folder and click on WeatherAF.exe. Click on "Choose a weather..." and you should get a list. I also had to enlarge the window (down) to see the [Apply] button and "done" status message. I installed it last week because of the interest in the Mission 9&10 thread. It's awesome. Thanks!!!

Is anyone else getting graphic errors with current patch. I tried to use the program to change the weather in a TE and the 3D objects stuck out while the rest of the area was covered in FOG. I can see buildings and runways that are 40 miles away but couldn't see the near or far land. Look way un-natural.

I've seen a few cubes on finial in 1.012 that were not there in 1.010. It's not as bad as flying around for 15 minutes with your head down in the pit and no contacts on the scope. And then, pop your head up to check wingees and seeing several T-72 columns floating on the clouds. Floating T-72s have been around since day 1 (1.008). For me, it's a cloud stopper on A-G missions.

The group I fly with has been using this Weather Editor for a while now in Korea campaign. Works great, in fact the refueling thread has a shot of the old style clouds we had as a result. Also we have done some sea ops where we go thru rain sqawals, pretty nice. Where it gets not so nice, is during the campaign Korea gets very soxed in with clouds. This can bring even our C2Duo 2Gig Ram systems to 10-15 FPS. Not the editor's fault, but one has to be careful when using lots of clouds even with todays high end systems. Thanks Tom2 On another different but related note... Using HiTilesAF while in v112, while trying out the GMT radar fix, we notice some ground units that were moving around, underground. Tunnels? It might be elevation differences? I dont think HiTilesAF tiles change elevation data does it?

I dont think HiTilesAF tiles change elevation data does it? What if you do the same exact mission at the same exact location after restoring to the original terrain? Technically, the HiTilesAF "should" retain the original elevation data :-D

I zoomed in with the L command and didnt see any infantry objects. There were padlockable objects that were below the surface.
Being KLINK didnt have the HiTilesAF, and I did, would imply its in the sim and not as a result of HiTilesAF.
Would like to hear from other pilots.
