Dreaming...

You are out on a mission, you get shot up a bit, fuel tank is leaking but you can fly perfectly. now you go at max speed to home base, land and EXIT your aircraft walk around the base and ENTER another aircraft that is standing on the base somewhere. taxi it to the runway and takeoff

Or you get shot up and make it back close to the base and bail out, walk back and jump in a new plane

Maybe you get shot up over the channel and bail out there. Then a SAR plane comes and picks you up, you sit in the passenger seat, As the pilot flies you (and maybe more pilots) back to a base.

Is BofB being designed to take full advantage of Dual Core CPU's and Dual Graphics Card SLI configurations?

1)How much effort is being put into the atmosphere element

2)Systems specs required to play at full tilt.

Thanks Tom

As a mater of interest, will you be communicating with Oleg trough a link up of some kind or directly?

I think this question is a good one, and one that can be expanded to go into Oleg's plans on development with the following in mind (which are the way things are heading):

Dual core CPUs, DirectX 10 & Vista OS either 32 or 64 bit?

1)
Are there any plans to be able to give BOB higher level command AI (ie. flight and squadron commanders)? This is very important for modeling formation tactics used.

2)
Will the home-chain system actually be modeled?
Is it possible that the ground control/vectoring system could be modified to have the radar operator be in the back seat (after all in almost all WWII night fighters the pilot and radar operator were separate jobs)?

3)
Is there any possibility of using this engine for a strategy BOB game by another team? Could the two pieces of software be combined at a later date?

4
Do the two "beachead defense" versions of the Lysander we saw in development updates suggest a "sea-lion" expansion pack?

Will we see more realisitc navigation options? In other words, will we have an in-flight map that shows the flight path and waypoints only?

Will it possible to, within limits, adjust the pilot's perceived head position as was done in Janes WWII Fighters to personalize the default view?

- How extensivly will we see physics used, eg. bits breaking off of the aircraft realistically when we shoot it?

- Will he use a different sound engine?

- Will the terrain be as good as what we see in the FSX screenshots?

- Will we see ground troops?

Also, try not to ask him questions about things we already know, and about tiny details that he wouldn't know yet.

Will it have better sound?

BoB will be boring without hearing/feeling the sound of merlins.

The current sound engine destroys immersion for me.

Most important for offliners I think:

I have only one question:

Will there be little men on the ground?

Life on the ground would be so immersive... great idea Bobby, get out of the plane and man a flak position or grab another aircraft, or-

Tower Controller role please? First-person in the tower and Toblerone

Windsock and red and green, purple and amber flares as seen in BF2. Come on Oleg if EA can do it... \:\)

Ming

I was going to nitpick Ming, but I found out Toblerone has actually existed since 1908!

We already know which are the aircraft models to be included, flyable or IA;
Could you ask Oleg if sub-types (Bf 109 E-1 with four MG 17, Spitfire IIb with 20mm guns,...)are planned?

- Walking (or driving \:\) ) around the airfield in 1st person would really bring the world to life outside the cockpit. Will it be included?

- I'd like to see 3D animated crew inside multi crew aircraft. I'm fed up with flying the Marie Celeste, its just another 'dead world' feature and kills immersion. The last time I checked this is a flight simulaion not a 3D object viewer. Will 3D animated crew be included?

- Better sound?
