I just watched the first video. It was the A-10 Maverick one. I didn't see anything where it told you to fire. I could tell the diamonds were the targets and I could see on the monitor with the crosshair. I didn't see the crosshair line up on anything though on the monitor. What told you when to fire and that you were locked?

I checked Ironhands site to see if there was anything that would give a voice over with the Maverick and on the Air to Ground section, there was something about the A10 mission 002 but it was made with FC 1.11 so I haven't tried downloading that one yet. Is there a video there that has a voice over with the Maverick that I am missing?

When the little cross in the Maverick TV monitor begins to flash, it indicates that it has locked onto a target. This target should be dead center in the crosshairs - sometimes you can lock onto buildings which will be invisible due to the distance ... so careful when aiming that thing near cities.

Yeah the flashing cross is the key...

Big time noob here. Still flying LOMAC with the training wheels on, although I recently graduated from the Easy Radar.

I highly recommend serious training flights before attempting single missions, campaigns, or -God forbid- online flight. Nothing shooting at you. Just practice lobbing bombs at stuff on the ground, or shooting unarmed transports planes with your fighter until you get the hang of how the radar works. I use the default SU-33 instant action flight at the first screen for carrier landing practice. I shoot traps over and over again. What I'm planning on doing now is creating a carrier trapping mission in the mission editor, just for me. Something I can do over and over again, just repetition.

I'm still getting my ass kicked flying against the AI. My missiles always get spoofed and they seem to be able to reach out and touch me every friggin' time.

It's getting annoying. What I wish was that there was a missile effectiveness slider for you and one for the AI. Let you ramp it up until you're comfortable.

Just thought I would let everyone know that I did some digging and found out from the ubi LOMAC forum if you lower your hardware accelleration to none in the dxdiag all my popping and crackling on the in game audio now works fine.

Sucks I have to do this every time I want to play, but looks like I have to.

Now to get flying....or should I say reading? Gonna need the manual to get this thing off the ground.

I'm Jealous Colt....

Every game on my pc works great with my X-fi on full acceleration...except LO.

What are your settings in the creative console? Do you have EAX on? Crystilizer? The 3D thing? Maybe its one of those settings I have on that LO does not like...this is realllly frustrating.

EAX: on

Crystalizer: on, 52%

X-Fi CMSS-3D: on, Upmix Mode-Stereo Xpand, Upmix-auto, stero envelopement 100%

Are you using older drivers maybe? I just got my card so I'm using the latest driver off the creative site.
