I prepared this guide for creating a better Cockpit and a skin catalogue for Lock On, all files/links are at
It is a feature of our download module that you need to register to use it - but it is simple and quick.

If you need to improve FPS you can download an FPS tweak - you can install/uninstall them easily.

LOCK ON 1.02 FPS TWEAK OR LOCKON 1.1 FPS TWEAK

If you are going to install these add/ons on Lock On 1.1 Flaming Cliffs with LOMAN 2.1
Quote:

This simple procedure will ensure that most add-ons are safe to use AND make these add-on compatible with 1.1:

When installing it with LOMAN 2.x , be sure to uncheck the

"when possible, install texutres in cdds files" option

OR

Install TEKA TEKA unofficial patch

LOMAN 2.1 PATCH

The Skin add-on Pages

(each skin has its skin code so you know were they will install - all have been tested and when needed, a new Loman 2.x pack was made)
The Cockpit guide

the A-10 guide
The F-15
(the F-15 uses the same add-ons for HUD fonts and Kneeboard)

The Fulcrum
The Flanker
And …

ZZZSPACE SOUND PACK 8.0 BY ZZSpace DOWNLOAD IT

ZZZSPACE SOUND PACK for FC 1.1 BY ZZSpace DOWNLOAD IT

Also, you can change the color for the HUD for all flyables

I hope you guys find it useful

\:\) !

I guess so, it must be, because they are not going to change those .

One of the reasons I left out the SU-25 is because I am not sure any add-ons for it will be compatible.

Here are the links for a couple of threads with screenshots

No one really knows. \:\)

Clearer HUD fonts are part of 1.1, for example, so the high-res HUD for the A-10 may just no longer be neccessary, or it may not work entirely.

Thomas, it is time to tell the people from ED to pay you some serious money for your great work in promoting LOMAC \:D

if only TLD would not grab so much of my time, I would do some LOMAC flying;
that TA-152 of the other sim is keeping me busy though, so much Sturmos and Yaks and Las to shoot down \:D

Thanks Thomas, I have some other c/p addons, but these look better!

I think when FC comes out (2 views at site per minute x 60 minutes =120 views x 10 hours = 1,200 views per day), I'll probably do a clean LOMAC install, plus Loman anyways, as we discussed. I'll have these ready to go and use as needed then.

Merlin and his crew created such a great, well organized neat site that I could not resist - I had to collaborate with him.

We've got a bit more than one thousand downloads in less than 24 hours ! It was worth the effort -I am a happy man. Thank you guys!

I am waiting for 1.1 ('Lock On - the Waiting Game') to make a clean install too.

Just a heads up guys...

There are graphic problems when turning on the panel lights with these cockpit light mods in v1.1

They might have to be redone.

PS... I have used these mods in v1.0x since they were released and they are awesome!

Thomas...

In v1.1 this is what I get and this is also what the other cockpit light mods look like too...

Maybe you guys can figure out the problem.

BTW.. it installs with LoMan no problem but it can't be uninstalled... I have to replace the cockpit texture cdds files.

I had a similar problem

it is hard to see but instead of a number there is a row of IIIIIIIIII instead.

If that LOMAN thing does not work reinstall Lock On, that's what I did.

Reinstalling Lock On took me half an hour, no big deal.

I did a reinstall of 1.0 and added v1.1 to it and still have the same problem...

This might be an issue concerneing possible new files in v1.1 that aren't working with the v1.0x files of the light mods.

I'll try re-installing LoMan and check it out.

I tested all with 1.0 patched to 1.02

it will be interesting to see which one works and which one doesn´t.

Re-installed LoMan and then applied the cockpit light mods but WITHOUT using the CDDS compression and it worked fine.

As soon as I used CDDS compression for installation it corupted the files.

I know using CDDS in v1.0x caused no problems so this might related to v1.1 and should be made note of for modders.

Thanks for the help and great work!

Hi,

It seems this problem only shows when they are installed in the compressed CDDS files via LoMan. Unchecking the box so the files go to the TempTexture directory creates no problems at all.

Thomas,

I get the impression from reading all the comments above that these "mods" are for Loman 2.1 and either LOMAC 1.02 or 1.1.

Is the same procedure to be followed using Loman 4b3, or, are there some additional procedures (more or less) to be followed given this post was initially written in Feb 2005?

You can use Loman4b3 with all of them - I would recommend doing so, it is safer with FC.

The only snag is that Loman needs some dll - but if you have SP1 or SP2 with XP chances are that you only need one

Thanks Thomas. I'll check out the dll's but I'm pretty sure I am good there.

Hello Everyone,

Thomas, is there a high res Su25T cockpit you know of? The OEM one is a little washed out and the test is blurred within the cockpit. Would really like to see a more photo-realistic image if possible.

Thank you,
Monnie

Hello Thomas DW,

dunno where to reach you elsewhere, so I ask here: Modman works fine, but after some days (weeks) when I try to start it again, it says "Unable to start cause some dll. file is missing". When I reinstall Modman, it's OK again for a while, and recognizes all previous add-on installs, then stalls again.

Any reason/fix for that?

Regards: Razor 18

It is either your firewall or a Windows problem that is doing that.
