Hi all! I downloaded ODS with no apparent trouble, error messages, etc. However, whenever I try to begin a campaign, I get to the cockpit screen and no further. I can hear radio comms but that's about all. The only way out is to reboot. I've tried restarting the campaign but it does no good. Has anyone else had this problem? Any fixes would be appreciated!

Thanks

Are you using v108 or v109 FalconAF?

Any mods or tweeks?

ODSv1.10 is what Im using on FalconAFv1.09
without any lockups or CTDs yet, knock on wood.

I am also using HiTilesAF, but these wont affect
ODS as they are a different set of tiles.

Being a non-LP released product, I would say support is going to be thin.

I'm using V1.09 and HiTiles. No other tweaks. I may try an uninstall/reinstall and see if that works.

1 install Falcon Allied Force with patch 1.09

2 don't install HiTiles

3 don't install Stopworks cockpits

4 don't install any skins ...

5 click on exe file of ODSAF installer and a few
minutes later , it's working perfectly

Hope this hopes both of u guys...

Cheers,

I currently have an installation of F4-AF (1,09) with “skin mods”, “explosion mod”, “nozzle afterburner mod”, “Weapon paint mod”, HiTiles and all 3 StopWorks pits.
I installed ODS upon all this with no problems. So it seems less likely that any mods cause any trouble.

However it may be very helpful if you post your hardware specs here. In my experience ODS is “heavy” on the hardware etc.

Check the size available for your “swap file” should be minimum 1024mb (custom) depending on the amount of memory you have in your computer.

The size of the ODS installer should be 237mb. Disable all unnecessary programs, especially Anti virus programs before installing and/ore playing anything on your computer.

Edit: Another thing: Before reinstalling Any software that caused trouble one should perform a “registry” clean first.
“CCleaner” is free and Ok.

Good luck

Hi guys,

Sorry to hear about your probs getting ODS running.

Best thing would be to do a full reinstall to 1.09 and then defrag your drive/Reboot.

Run the ods oci and again defrag/reboot.

The Cams are a wip and a patch which is due out shortly will fix up a lot of issues.

Also adding a package of vipers ect at start of campaigns will most times get the ball rolling...

Cheers...

Thanks for the suggestions folks. I added a package as Razer suggested and that seemed to do the trick. Flew my first mission last night...success! I don't get to fly too often any more but maybe this will get me back up. Brings back memories of the old F-15 days. Thanks again!
