We all hope so, because while LP stakes their reputation on everything they release or approve for add-on, all you guys have to do is change your user name and hope nobody recognizes you if something goes wrong. And before you say nothing can, I say let's see your ISO9000 written processes and procedures for testing and quality assurance/inspection before release. Murphy is watching...

True enough. Should have been caught, and it cost them some rep and time/money in the rework. All the more reason to be cautious. The good folks trying to add theaters to improve gameplay ultimately have nothing to loose, however.

Cowboy, I think he was refering to me. I don't mean to belittle the new mods at all. I think it is great that they are motivated and talented enough to attempt it. As a business, your customers have an expectation that a product will work correctly (enough to satisfy), else the 'market' may quickly determine your future--and it could be short! But with freelancers I have no expectation, only a hope, that their product will perform. So I personally will wait and see how the wind blows before hoisting sail, because I'm just not cut out to be a 'beta tester'.

Okay, I'm digging a bit at Frugal's. Here's C3PO's take: Hi, Stupid question maybe, but why not offer the theater back to LP for proper support? maybe we get the missing features as well? Drummer Because the amount of man hours required to properly test the theater can be spent on much more productive activities ... like the next commercial release. We're very clear about the theater issue in Allied Force and will continue to be so. Sorry if it's not what people want to hear but we might as well clear it up here and now. C3POThis was out of this thread - http://forums.frugalsworld.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=103234&page=3 That's fine - it's good to hear they're working on the next product and I'm sure they'll come out with new theaters for that release and into the future as "Battlefield Operations" takes shape.

Resources are better spent on things that WILL happen, than developing a feature to support a MAY be fully functional. Priorities.
What WW2 Fighter pilots say about Angels and Airspeed:
"Nice job of getting down to the basics - love your choice of a cover!" Col. Clarence 'Bud' Anderson
"I have enjoyed reading angels and airspeed, it should prove good reading for all interested in combat tactics and their application related to the fluid air environment and state of technology in WWII years. All the best as you make it available." - Col. Charles McGee - Tuskegee Airman

lol, it was a tad long, but still fully functional. It did not effect stability nor functionality. Definitely not enough of an issue to delay the rest of the patch for a new installer package.
