I don't care if it's realistic or not...I want to be able to cary mavs on the inboard pylons. I mean I can carry 6 mavs and 6 mk-20's, you can't tell me 6 mavs weigh more or are bulkier than 6 mk-20's?

Mmmmmm 12 mavericks...would anyone else appreciate this as much as me?!?!

I don't think it's the weight, I just don't think the inboard pylons are wired for mavs.

It's a game...there are no wires! LP could Just add the weapons to the pylon in whatever file it's in.
Those who want realism could just not use them!

Why not just fly with unlimited ammo. Then you have 12 Mavs and LP doesn't have to do a thing. Though I don't know if I would want to hang around to fire all 12 of them.

Its not a game, its a sim...a simulation that will attempt to be as real as possible. Why not add sharks with lasers to the pylon. Tailspin did have a great fix for you. I wish I had thought of it.

For some reason I couldn't handle unlimited ammo. I like the evolution of the entire flight from beginning to end too much. And I would probably end up dead alot more from not being to drag myself from the combat area.

I would compare that to turning a crackhead loose at the crack factory and giving him a glass **** with unlimited hits, can only end in tragedy.

But using an existing pylon to carry a not unreasonable load, that may not be "technically" correct, seems more acceptable to my sim sensibility.

I guess Mr. Spock put it best "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few".
The Falcon 4 people want near painful realism, I love you guys.

Froglips: Yes. I do not have a comprehensive list on hand of all the changes, we have two people who were data experts and they have gone through the full weaponry to model for realism.

You want alot of weapons but dont want unlimited ammo...you will be one tough falcon fan to please. Speaking only for myself,I just hope there are alot of falcon fans, not alot of types. This sim has always been the benchmark of realism. If that were ever lost this sim would be just like < place any other flight sim title here > I dont think the sim will be adjusted to give you what you ask, but if you get used to unlimited ammo your problem is already solved. The god complex players have their flying battleship.

In reality, no F-16 would carry more than 2 Mavericks, one under each wing.

More are not used in operations due to technical problems (vibrations I think).

So, be real.. only 2 Mavs. Shooting a AGM-65 for a truck or a non armored Vehicule is wasting $$$

A good, fun and realistic substitute to the old falcon3 load of 12 mavs (remember guys? ) would be to max out on 500 pounder laser guided bombs. These are even better in that respect that you can stay far above most point air defence sh!t, and give you the zap, zap joy of mavericks. They can be fairly destructive too and you get to carry loads of 'em Watch out for that evil little demon called target fixation tho'. Your head down in the pit puts your butt up in the air, and it shoudl be the otherway round over indian country

Merlin, I had a feeling that the Falcon could only carry 2, now I know.
The book Vipers in the Storm the falcons only carried 2. It will still produce the removal of 2 enemy vehicles and if my wingman is included 4. This would be a very sizable loss. Any unit with 30% casualties ( in real world ) is considered destroyed. Does anybody know is Falcon 4 AF use this 30% rule of thumb ?

Well after reading the interview with F4AF CEO, I think my suggestion of unlimited ammo will be the only option to go with for having more mavericks.

If the above post is correct about the "real" loadout we may be reduced to 2 mavs period!

And unlimited ammo is unacceptable as I stated above...

2 AGM-65s sounds cool. I just hope F4 AF will still consider that a successful mission. The sims usually want the entire world to blow up.
