I'm still testing and modifying. As you can see I had to remove a piece of panel to make throttle more comfortable. Th pit could have been 12 inches wider and this would not have been a problem but I have found the shelf handy. Next job sew seat covers. The CH pedals need a mod to widen but other than that its very comfortable. (and clausaphobic, nice)

Wow that looks great. Hamel, what's the immersion level like as compared to before you had this setup?

Very well done! Now all you need is a triple monitor setup with a TripleHead2Go and 2 more monitors.

Are you planning to make the canopy non see-thru?

The immersion level is great, lights off, headphones on flying LOMAC FC, FS2004, or IL2 PF, it all works well, jet or prop.

TripleHead2Go and 2 more monitors, nice, but to much modifying to mount 2 more screens. I use a 19inch LCD but i could fit a widesceen LCD 24 inch as it is now. Or build a clear canopy frame and use a wall mounted projector.

I see two versions of your pit. Which is the current? Just wondered what you progressed from/to? Is the fighter jet the latest?

As far as the pedals, thow them away (or sell them) and get the Saitek. I quite agree the CH are just too close together... They keep you from mounting the stick inbetween your legs in a comfortable way.... just MO. Getting rid of my CH ASAP. Should be worth 50.00 I think.

Both setups work. The green radar looking centre consoles unscrews and the fighterstick and support pole come out (unscrews from base) and ch yoke fits in just like picts show. I just cut the dash down a bit to have the centre of LCD screen level with eyes. I made the radar consolr for the look and to cover the hole when in fighter mode

I'm keeping the pedals because i have a ch throttle coming soon and i want an all CH hotas/rudder setup.
I modded the pedals and they work great, pit is comfortable and you feel like it's wrapped around u.(removed pedal pads and replaced with MDF cut to same shape but with wings, then remounted pedal pads on wings, if u have the pedals u know what i mean)

I love the construction of your simpit. I plan to build a similiar pit soon (construction wise similiar). I have to ask were you in any way inspired by the Chris Anders Race/Flight Simpit? The construction techniques are very similiar and that was one of the examples I was using to build mine by. Great job I love how you fit everything into the pit.

I'm using a generic set up from a modified playseat (used for racing wheels and games).
