there's still a few people keeping the game alive, and still play some multiplayer. they usually stop in and let everyone know when and where. a while back we had a little modding community start...but real life took over and it's kind of up in the air. i think Shadow is working on some new maps though. in case you haven't found out yet, +G\'s LB2 guide is the place to go to get it up and running on newer systems (both for single and multiplayer). as for updates and/or mods, nothing since the final 2.09f patch. but with the Glide wrapper that you'll probably have to use (unless you have an old Voodoo) will put you in high-res with all the goodies of 3D accelleration. im sure the other guys will come by and fill you in on anything else.

Thanks for the response ,,, yeah , I will have to aquaint myself with the new install prcedure on the newer machines. God , its been so long ! to this day ,, I cant figure out why Longbow died out ,, it is a great multi sim,,,When Janes went down i thought somehow it would revieve ,, and that was about the time I was hyped on the A-10 warthog that was in production ,, I have no idea why that collapsed,,, it was a sad time,,, I found myself out of the flight sim arena, ,and into ground combat. I have been Blackhawk down now for years. Out of curiosity today ,, I did a search for Longbow and was surprised to find a faint heart beat,,, i'm starting to become a bit excited,,, thanks for taking the time to respond ,, hope to get back in the saddle !

The BIOS changes were if you have Hyperthreading or similar enabled you had to disable it in the BIOS for the slowdown app to work. Anyways, if you are running it in 60Hz you dont need to slow down the CPU. Just force Vsync in the wrapper.
