Hi all,

This sounds exciting... I have loads of webspace available. Would it pay to create a new forum specifically for LB2 modding and the likes?

Lemme know! Cheers! Good luck!

Hope we can get a Panama theater working... \:\)

I'll take that as a resounding "No" then...?

Hi,
thanks for the offer but I think experience has shown that dedicated sim modding forums arent too succesfull.
Better to stick with a general forum where there is more activity to spark ideas off.

Cheers,
Keith

And yet I believe that soon we may have some "texture heavy" stuff to upload.

So Homer, forgive me getting back that late, but it may be rather resounding "yes", if not for forum, then a mirror.

I agree, having a site where we could share some files might come in real handy. Thanks for the offer! I've only got 25M available and it's about at max right now.

A7N8X Dlx., 2700+@3200 settings, 9700Pro, Sony 17" Trinitron, Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers. WinXP Pro.

I'd tend to disagree to a certain extent, quoting the http://www.freefalcon.com forums as one case in point.

However, that said, I'll go with everyones wishes on this.

I'd like to help in any way I can, and will happily make the space available for hosting any new files that will eventually come along.

[EDIT] - A domain name is also an option... maybe http://www.lb2modders.co.uk (NB: NOT currently a working domain name!) or something similar. Like I say, its your choice, you're doing all the work! ;\)

Regards
Homer

I would personally like to see the grass roots work we've started, STAY right here at SimHQ!

We just had this forum created after all. Maybe when this advances a bit further, but just maybe. A lot of people already come here for news, etc.,

I don't feel there's any need to move to greener pasture yet. Let's eat all the grass here first then chew on it for a bit!

I would like to suggest using everybody's kind willingness to contribute anything: web space, work, time, comments, whatever.

Besides the modding there might be a section commited perhaps to tacticts, strategy and all of the skills necessary to fly the Lb2 right and with full enjoyment. Section to make playing Lb2 fun again. To all who know it and all who do not yet.

Perhaps some stuff from manual or strategy guide could be posted there. SimHQ may not like such a material as it may be copyrighted. But perhaps outside site may be more willing.

Materials like screenshots or some other AV stuff may require some extra space. I strongly believe that tallented and creative people like BeachAV8r will hopefully have soon their hands full of work creating Lb2 Tutorials, Mission and Campaign Reports for enjoyment and learning all of us.

There is certainly more interesting possibilities I did not mention...

When you guys have some files that need hosted for LB2, send me an email and we'll add them to the downloads area.
