Ladies and Gentlemen...please start your engines and securely strap in for the 2006 Goodwood Festival of Speed

I hope I managed to completely distract everyone from Monday morning work

Excellent photos, thanks! I love seeing some of the old pre-war and pre-aero cars still being taken out for a run.

Couple of questions about some particular photos:

Photo1 : I notice the license plate reads 'JYS 3'. Do you know if it's owned by Jackie Stewart (JYS = Jackie Young Stewart)?

Photo2 : Does Alain de Cadenet own this Ferrari? I know he's a keen collector of vintage cars.

@coffeedrinker-The Lancia-Ferrari D50A is owned by Anthony Bamford and driven here by Jacky Ickx. I pulled the other image as it was not very well focused :p .

**Edit**Wrong image....the Frazer Nash replica with the wierd plate is owned and driven by Andrew Hall. Most of the cars racing or demonstrating during the event were driven by the original racers (i.e. Moss, Mansell, Petty etc). Thanks for checking them out!

@hbxov....thanks for that. I spent two days at the event and was physically exhausted after hiking all over the place looking for good spots to get the shots \:D

That is a whole lot of automotive goodness there! Wish I could have been there too! Nice pics!

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!
