Hi,
i need some urgent help. i did a second install of FS9 (clean, including the patch) for testing. now my original install (full of sceneries and aircrafts) says "you are not allowed to update (scenery) files, because you do not have administrator rights". be sure i do have ADMINISTRATOR rights, and the new clean install accepts everything.
i did restarts, i changed rights up and down, nothing helped.
anyone any idea ?

Try to rename the FS9.exe of the new install to something else, like FS9.bak for example. Then try again. Apparently it's checked where the FS9.exe resides when trying to install or update, and the new installation is the "preferred" one in this case.

thx for the advice, tried it, but no change: fs9 still wants me to come back with administrator rights (which i have :-()

any other idea ? please
