Well Its got a hud that works if thats what you mean. ONly comes with a VC, no 2d panel. Drop tanks drop and a mechanic stands beside aircraft when shut down.

I grabbed this the otherd ay. Its pretty nice, but does have some issues. There seems to be an issue that causes my frames to drop about 30% after switching to VC view. I could only recover these frames after paging out of the sim, but as soon as I went to VC view, they would drop again. You might want to check this Sean to see if the same thing is happening to you. I have emailed DSB about it already.

looks like somebody might need to paint those drop tanks.

Why is it carrying AIM-7s on the wings stations? That looks like crap.

As for the tanks, they could stay lt.grey. In combat, the Eagles have "nestables" that are of cheaper quality and are meant to be discarded. So they are normally not painted dk.grey and you often see F-15Es carrying them. Just have to paint the blue bands on the bombs yellow, to make them "live". But these tanks shouldnt have the pointed rear caps, and are missing the rear attachment point. :rolleyes: How much did you pay for this?

I was talking about this issue with DSB with another guy. They only want negative issues PM'd to David Bryce, I guess the modelers/skinners are thin skinned and can't take the critics pointing stuff out on the forums :rolleyes:

Too bad the VC is ugly. I realy like the F-15E but i will buy one if it will come with a nice VC!

Grover, same thing happens to me on the VC/framerate. I'm running an ATI 9800 Pro with the latest Omega drivers.

I haven't tried swapping out the VC with a 2D panel to see if that helps.

Im glad its not just me then Odie. What I might do is to remove one gauge from the VC at a time to see if I can narrow it down, but its not really my job. I emailed DSB about the issue and David said something allong the lines of It didnt happen in beta testing, and it looks like since hes now on holiday that it wont be looked at until mid febuary.

Grover, please let me know if you find a solution. I installed the patch but still have the framerate slowdown. Thanks!

odie, can you test something for me please. I think I found the gauge that causes the big frame drop. If you do into the DSB F15/Panel folder and edit the panel.cfg file. Find the section starting with [Vcockpit01] and rem out the following line so it has 2 forward slashes in it just like shown.
//gauge02=F15_Gauges!HUD Night, 0,0,1024,1024

Test to see if your frames drop like before. I think this is the cause of the problem.

Will do, grover! I'm at work right now but will test as soon as I get to the house. I was playing with my slider settings last night on scenery and such, but still couldn't get a steady frame-rate when flying the F-15.

Oh yeah, I think this was the culprit, grover! Commented out the gauge and frame-rate is back steady again! I use Active Camera and the flyby mode was very choppy and now it's smooth again. Spot mode was dipping into the low teens and choppy but now it's steady at my normal locked 20 fps.
