The chip features a base clock of 3.8 GHz base and 4.6 GHz boost which when put together is just stunning for a 12 core part that will hit retail shelves on 7th July for $499 US.

Not only was the Ryzen 7 3700X (4806 CB points) able to beat the Core i7 (3726 CB points) part which boosts up to 4.9 GHz but also consumed much lower power than its competitor.

AMD Zen 2 Core Architecture Achieves 15% IPC Uplift


The 7nm 16core/32thread CPU was shown behind closed doors. It performed well and is rumored to sell for $799. It competes with Intel's $2000 part. Don't know when it will become public.
