Lt. Rudolf Grebbs Mission 7 Escort Ju88's to bomb military instalation at Bromley. All went well to the target except for the constant flak. the bombers were jumped by Hurricanes over the target. I rolled in behind one that was intent on shooting down a JU and I unloaded my whole supply of cannon and machine guns into him and sent him down smoking. Returned to base and put in my claim which was confirmed. They even gave me another medal!
Mission 8 Patrol our own fields at Douai. A day in the park!
Mission 9 Escort bombers to Eastchurch. We tangled with a flight of Hurricanes over the target. I had a near collision with one and scored a lucky hit another as he turned over and went straight down. Our squad claimed 2 more.
