AMD makes some senior leadership changes

Sandeep Chennakeshu, hired as executive vice president of Computing and Graphics, and responsible for high-performance PC, gaming and semi-custom businesses..previously held senior engineering and executive roles at Ericsson, Freescale, Sony, and Blackberry.

AMD certainly has a big chance to disrupt the market and seem to have an upper hand ahead of its 7nm launch so hopefully, the company will deliver on its promises, as competition will both drive technology advancements as well as shake the market and push those prices down.
