As I'm sure you all know, my current DiD pilot has joined 40 squadron RFC.

With Cadogan West I used the history of 73 squadron by D Mintern (among other sources) to bring the stories to life.

Before Stanley even applied for his transfer to 40, I ordered 'Sweeping the Skies', David Gunby's history of the squadron, from my library. It has been weeks and they haven't had any success yet. I've been told that they will keep trying for a few weeks.
Stanley might be dead by then. West was my first and only pilot to pass 100 hours.

The book is available to buy, but with prices starting at £40 I can't justify the purchase. I have a child on the way (which is an unbelievable blessing, but financially limiting ).

Does anyone have this book, or others with good information on 40 squadron? Especially events on the ground (apart from HA victories and deaths, WOFF will generate plenty for me to talk about in the air).
Even websites, but I've been looking for those myself already.

Ideally I'd like scans of the relevant pages, but I will be grateful of anything offerered.
