Samsung shows 49-inch 32:9 monitor at Gamescom 2017

With 3840x1080 resolution and AMD FreeSync 2

Based on a 49-inch QLED VA panel with 32:9 aspect ratio, 3840x1080 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and 1800R curvature, the announced Samsung CHG90 is basically two 27-inch 1080p 16:9 aspect ratio screens packed in a single bezel. The rest of the specs include 350cd/m2 maximum brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 1ms response time, 178/178 degree viewing angles and 125 percent sRGB coverage...

..the AMD FreeSync 2 generally brings better HDR support, Low Framerate Compensation (LFC), low-latency, high-brightness pixels, excellent black levels and a wide color gamut to display High Dynamic Range (HDR) content..

The Samsung CHG90 is already available for pre-order with a US $1,499.99 price in the US and €1399.90 in Europe.

I'm almost interested. I like the 49 inch measurement (nearly perfect for my space), 125%RGB, and the 3000:1 native contrast. However, I'd like a version in 1440p or better (but that's just me).

Anyhow, it would be an excuse to go RX Vega (right now I'm waiting to see what the RX Vega market will be on or around "Black Friday"). As I frequently note, all I actually need with my current games and monitors is my RX480 Reference card.
