Agree.
However, as an AMD buyer, I don't mind if AMD is 5 or 10 percent slower. I can't see that with my unaided eyes (only measure it).
As your logic implies, being second best to Intel and Nvidia results in much lower AMD pricing, usually. So, we agree about the monetary consequences of being slightly slower. Just that I prefer to buy AMD stuff
