I'm expecting lower with AMD -- but worth it.
Yet, the recent ("Pillars of Eternity" March 2015) isometric RPG I'm playing to day is using 6 cores (6 threads) significantly -- while desktop and this Firefox post barely budges 2 cores (other 6 turned off) -- even with 3 monitors active. So, maybe 8 cores will be more valuable than I thought (cores mean more than threads).

Article claims to know what's really going to happen. March 2 repeats some earlier predictions (some say Thursday March 2 some say Tuesday Feb 28). I seem to remember a lot of stuff being released on Tuesdays. So, we'll see.
