Nice thing to win! After a TrackIR and a HOTAS, I'd say it's the best peripheral/tool to increase one's enjoyment of gaming, be it FPS or a sim.

I shot the following email to Chris, the creator. Do you guys have any suggestions?



"I am thinking of ways I could increase my viewing distance from my monitor. I am currently using 1 30" and will soon be getting 2 20"s to put on either side of the 30". Even now, the single 30" feels a bit too close to me...say maybe by a foot. I'd like to increase the distance between the obutto chair frame and the desk/monitor frame by about that much.

Two possible ways of doing this that I can imagine (gotta admit that I am not very mechanically minded):

Two metal pieces each about 12" long, and wide enough and with the right openings that the bolts could screw into them. They'd be too long for the bolts to go through, so would screwing them at the two openings on either end (chair frame side and table/monitor mount side) create a secure fit? Or maybe there could be four narrower metal tubes, with the proper opening.

The other possibility is to not use screws at all, but to secure the two obutto frames together by some sort of metallic clamp arm, able to clamp securely enough onto either frame so they aren't loose. I don't really know of such a tool or thing, but maybe one exists.


Anyway, those are my probably not too brilliant ideas.

What suggestions might you have for putting about 12" more distance between the seat and the monitor on the monitor mount? (I thought about mounting arms that are angled backwards at 90 degrees, but the weight of 3 monitors would make that risky because gravity would then be working against the mounting posts."
