Looks like ISI have opened up another can of worms after releasing details of their content management system. For the end user it's a dream come true - simply pull components (cars, sounds, tracks, effects etc) from existing mods to create your own. pretty awesome idea - in principle.
http://www.virtualr.net/rfactor-2-content-management-diagrambut could this be another blow for the long term modding viability of rF2? How many groups will want to put years of work into a mod just to have the components ripped and re-released by other people...
Hopefully ISI have a workable and elegant solution to avoid plagiarism but as usual they've dropped another smell and left it to fester.
