Re: Dual boot? Win 7? by NoUseForAName @ Today at 12:12 AM

might as well dual boot; I have XP and Win7 set up on two partitions and every time I boot up I get a menu that lets me select which one to load. Pretty painless...and you probably won't need all 4gigs for older games (or at least see a difference an

COD reversal and MP game type discussion by Raw Kryptonite @ Today at 12:07 AM

COD4, I liked the SP but MP was just too fast and crazy so I didn't play it long. This time, I found the SP boring and haven't yet finished it but I'm having a good time in MP. The maps are (mostly) larger and more importantly have fewer chokepoints,

yea I have the 64-bit Win7 but I just don't have time to install it right now; hopefully soon. I love this card though! I still run a pretty low res (by today's standards) but so far it's been more than enough for games.

Ditto what SpyDoc says. I am lucky to get 2 hours a week doing frivilous things like gaming, and only on weekends in the afternoon. The rest of my weekends revolve around family stuff, and my weekdays are busy as are my weeknights. Heck, I had to g

Whoever painted that plane did a fantastic job, especially on the bare metal. It look's very realistic.

Re: How does ROF Count kills in multiplayer? by Bleddyn @ Yesterday at 10:37 PM

I could be wrong but I think it credits the last person to hit the plane before the pilot dies. That gives someone several seconds after an engine has been set on fire to "steal" the kill (it takes that long for the flames to kill the pilot

Re: Gunnery Accuracy by Bleddyn @ Yesterday at 10:33 PM

Right now it is saying 35%.. not sure I would argue that. It does however say I have only dropped 16 bombs and I have 100% accuracy... that seems just a wee bit off lol.

I've run these very well on my netbook, most on high settings, so a laptop with more than a 1.66GHz Atom and 2 GB memory should do even better: Defcon (excellent RTS, based on global thermonuclear war from War Games) Freespace 2 with the FSO mod (l

Interesting thoughts. I was hoping this would have stayed open. I'm on the other end of the spectrum. Too many 'real life' things right now to race regularly, but I can still occasionally 'jump in,' and I was hoping this would give me my racing fix

I would love to help, but it will take several small applications of joint compound, letting it dry in between. More waiting than anything else. I would do all the taping and mudding, then sand and paint and finish off with a very thin bead of caulk
