July 2009 Calendars

"This month, I'm happy to bring you pictures from the Austrian AIRPOWER09 show. For me this is a very important personal mark — the AIRPOWER05 story for SimHQ was my first every photojournalistic article. Since then I've been to numerous countries, worked with a lot of Armed Forces units, flown in a nice collection of military aircraft and published a ton of reports and pictures. "Coming home" to our own national air show — which never managed to materialize in the intermediate years — felt just great for me. The images Doug and I selected cover the C-130K in it's role as paratroop transport, the Austrian AB206 Jet Rangers — now being retired — the Breitling Jet Team in front of Styria's unique background and — for the WW1 fans here — a Fokker Dr.1 replica. There's also the B-25J of Flying Bulls showing off in all it's bare aluminum glory. Hope you enjoy the calendars, feel free to visit my web site at www.shotbyme.at for more of my material."

The composition should allow for placement of the calendar in one of the right side corners. Any aviation, motorsports, land-based military or naval military images you have photographed are welcome. Please send along a description of the photograph(s) and the conditions they were taken.
