At over forty, things have really come together: a beautiful, smart wife, a pre-teenage son, and rapidly balding head to minimize preparation time for work in the mornings all say to me "wow, you've really got it going on."

Over twenty years of active duty time in the US Army hasn't helped one bit in any computer game, from ARMA, where I am usually voted "Most Likely To Get Killed First" to flight sims.

Starting out with single player classics such as Chuck Yeager's Air Combat, and Hind, my true aptitude was shown to the world when Red Baron 3D was released. Having accomplished the never duplicated feat of coming in dead last in pilot statistics for two Red Baron World League tournaments in a row, I moved on to the IL-2 series.

Following the mantra that "Those who can't do, teach," I began making small videos in an effort to both dispel the notion that I can't do anything well in flight sims and to help other flight sim impaired folks. All available at my web site [shameless plug].

Never short of hubris, I pummeled the editorial staff with unsolicited articles until they started publishing them out of pity. Having now outlasted most of the competition, I look forward to becoming fully tenured on the staff and incapable of being fired.
