 Doug's
primary responsibility is the development and operation of
the SimHQ web site. Changes to the simulation industry during
the past few years have brought about many challenges. To
meet these challenges, SimHQ will be updated in 2007 with a redesigned look. The new design
will be the first major overhaul since Doug's current design
was developed over four years ago.
Doug
has over 30 years experience in the advertising and communications
industry. He currently works as the manager for an in-house
corporate communications group for a major corporation in
the U.S. His first entry into sims was Microsoft Flight Simulator
4, and his first combat sim was Dynamix's Aces of the Pacific.
His first racing sim was Grand Prix by Microprose.
When time for actually playing sims
— which is infrequent with a full-time day job and working
on SimHQ during evenings and weekends — he drives rFactor and GTR. While motorsports is his preferred sim
genre, he also enjoys Falcon 4: Allied Force, EEAH / EECH,
FSX and Armed Assault in first person shooters.
